Refund Policy

When refunds apply, how cancellations work, and how to reach us if something isn't right.

Last updated: October 2026

This Refund Policy applies to purchases of licences to the Sentinel Core Vision software (the "Software") made through our website and our payment processor. In this policy, "we", "us", and "our" mean Sentinel Core Vision, a sole proprietorship.

1. Overview

Our goal is simple: we want you to have a good experience with the Software, and we would like the chance to fix problems before you ask for your money back. If the Software will not run for you, or something about your purchase is not right, please reach out to us first at support@sentinelcorevision.com or on our Discord. In many cases a short bit of troubleshooting — checking system requirements, a driver update, or a configuration change — resolves the issue quickly. Where a refund is appropriate under this policy, we will process it fairly and without unnecessary hassle. Nothing in this policy is intended to reduce any mandatory consumer rights you may have where you live.

2. Digital goods & immediate delivery

Sentinel Core Vision is digital content, and a licence key is delivered to you electronically, typically within moments of a successful purchase. Your key looks like SCV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX and activates the Software on a limited number of machines tied to a hardware identifier. Because the licence is delivered and made available for use immediately, a purchase generally cannot be "returned" in the way a physical product can once it has been delivered, downloaded, or activated.

Depending on where you live, statutory rules for digital content may apply — for example, a cooling-off or withdrawal period for consumers in certain regions. Those rules can end early once supply of the digital content begins with your consent. If you are entitled to a statutory right of this kind, this policy does not take it away; the voluntary refund window described below is offered in addition to any rights the law gives you.

3. Our good-faith refund window

Beyond any statutory rights, we offer a short good-faith refund window of 3 days from the date of purchase. Within that window, we will consider a refund where:

  • your licence key was not activated and you no longer wish to use the Software; or
  • the Software will not run on a supported configuration, and after working with us we were unable to resolve the problem together.

To make use of this window, please contact us and describe the issue before requesting a refund, so we have a fair chance to help. Requests made after the 3-day window can still be reviewed, but approval is at our discretion and outside the scope of this voluntary promise. We look at each request in good faith and on its facts.

4. What is eligible and what is not

Every situation is a little different, and we review requests individually. The lists below describe how we generally think about eligibility.

Generally eligible:

  • a licence key that was purchased but never activated, requested within the good-faith window;
  • a genuine failure of the Software to run on a supported configuration that we could not resolve with you;
  • a clear duplicate or accidental charge for the same purchase; and
  • anything we are required to refund under the mandatory laws that apply to you.

Generally not eligible:

  • change of mind after heavy use — where the key has been activated and the Software has been used substantially;
  • issues that are clearly caused by your own hardware, drivers, configuration, or environment, where we offered troubleshooting and the underlying problem is outside the Software itself;
  • your system not meeting the published requirements, or missing hardware you did not have at the time of purchase;
  • problems caused by third-party software, hardware, models, or platform changes outside our control;
  • results, performance, or "feel" not matching your expectations — performance depends on your hardware, model, configuration, and environment, and we do not guarantee any particular outcome; or
  • a licence that has been shared, resold, transferred, or otherwise misused in breach of our Terms of Service or EULA.

5. Subscriptions & cancellation

If you are on a recurring (subscription) plan, you can cancel at any time from your account page to stop future renewals. Cancelling turns off the next automatic charge; it does not, by itself, trigger a refund of the period you have already paid for.

When you cancel, you keep access for the remainder of your current paid period, and your plan simply does not renew after that. As a general rule we do not provide partial refunds for the unused portion of a period that has already begun, except where required by law or where the good-faith window in Section 3 applies. If you believe you were charged for a renewal in error — for example, a charge you expected to have cancelled first — contact us and we will look into it.

6. Lifetime purchases

A "lifetime" purchase is a one-time payment rather than a recurring subscription, so there are no renewals to cancel. The good-faith refund window in Section 3 applies to lifetime purchases in the same way it applies to other purchases: a refund may be available within 3 days where the key was not activated, or where the Software will not run on a supported configuration and we could not resolve it with you. "Lifetime" refers to the lifetime of the product and your licence to it, and does not by itself create an ongoing refund entitlement beyond what this policy and applicable law provide.

7. Chargebacks, disputes & triple-lock audit defense

If something is wrong with your purchase, please ask us first. We can almost always resolve an issue faster and more directly than a bank or card dispute, and contacting us keeps your licence in good standing while we work it out.

Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first immediately suspends the associated licence and account. Sentinel Core Vision operates a strict Triple-Lock Legal Audit Trail, recording affirmative electronic consent (terms version, UTC timestamp, IP hash, and hardware identifier binding) across Website Checkout, Discord Verification, and Software Activation. All evidence of affirmative consent, usage, and downloads is compiled and submitted directly to the payment processor, issuing bank, and arbitration authorities to contest fraudulent or bad-faith disputes. Disputing legitimate charges after downloading, activating, or using the Software results in permanent HWID blacklisting and termination of all platform services.

8. How to request a refund

To request a refund, email support@sentinelcorevision.com from the email address you used at checkout, and include:

  • your licence key (SCV-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX) and/or your order or receipt details;
  • the email address used for the purchase; and
  • a short description of the problem and, if the Software would not run, what happened and what you have already tried.

You can also reach us on Discord to talk it through, but for a refund request we recommend emailing support so we have a clear record. The more detail you can give us, the faster we can help.

9. How refunds are issued

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase, through our payment processor (Stripe). We are generally not able to send a refund to a different card, account, or method than the one originally charged.

Once we approve and submit a refund, it is typically processed on our side promptly. How quickly it appears on your statement then depends on your bank or card provider, and can take a number of business days to post. If a refund is issued, the associated licence may be deactivated and you must stop using the Software, consistent with our EULA. Currency conversion, and any fees applied by your bank or card network, are outside our control.
